RedditTube ("we", "us", "the site") is a content aggregator that displays publicly available posts from Reddit. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data is collected when you visit the site, why, and what your rights are.
This policy is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
The data controller responsible for processing under this policy is:

To set expectations clearly: RedditTube has no user-facing data-collection features whatsoever. Specifically:
Some pages link to white-labeled partner services. When you click those links you are leaving RedditTube; the partner site has its own privacy policy and we do not control what data they collect.
Only the following data is collected when you visit:
Our hosting provider (OVH, in Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada) automatically records standard server log data for each request:
These logs are kept for up to 90 days and are used only for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and basic traffic analysis. They are not shared with third parties except where required by law.
We use StatCounter (statcounter.com) to count visitors and understand traffic patterns. StatCounter sets a cookie in your browser and may collect:
StatCounter is operated by StatCounter International Ltd. (Ireland, EU) and processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
If you confirm that you are 18 or older on the age-verification screen, a small cookie is stored in your browser so we don't show the screen on every page. The cookie contains nothing more than this confirmation.
If you contact us directly (e.g., to send a DMCA takedown notice or a general inquiry), we will receive whatever information you put in your email — at minimum your email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to you and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share data with marketers or advertisers. We do not build profiles about you. We do not track you across other sites.
For visitors from the European Economic Area, our legal bases under GDPR Article 6 are:
The complete list of cookies the site may set:
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling the age-verification cookie just means you'll see the age screen each visit.
The website is hosted on OVH servers in Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada. Server logs are stored at that location. StatCounter processes analytics data in Ireland (EU).
For visitors from the European Union: Canada has been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection (Adequacy Decision of 20 December 2001, Decision 2002/2/EC), so transfers to Canada are lawful under GDPR Article 45 without additional safeguards.
Because RedditTube collects no user-identifying information beyond IP addresses tied to anonymous server logs, in most cases there is no practical way for us to associate data with a specific individual. That said, you have the following rights, and we'll honor them to the extent technically possible.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: www.priv.gc.ca.
Email [[email protected]]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity (e.g., by matching the IP address you claim to a server log entry) before fulfilling certain requests.
RedditTube embeds and links to media hosted on Reddit and its CDNs (v.redd.it, i.redd.it, external-preview.redd.it, etc.). When your browser loads embedded media, you connect directly to those third-party servers, and they may receive standard request information (your IP, user-agent, referer). Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
The site is served over HTTPS. Our hosting provider applies standard server-level security measures. Because we hold so little data and no user accounts, the attack surface is minimal. If we ever become aware of a data breach affecting personal data, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected users where required by law.
This site is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us (e.g., by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
