RedditTube respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond promptly to credible notices of copyright infringement.

1. About This Site

RedditTube is a content aggregator. We do not host, store, or upload any video, image, or audio files. The site indexes and displays publicly available posts from Reddit and links to media hosted on third-party servers (such as v.redd.it, i.redd.it, external-preview.redd.it, and others). When you view content on RedditTube, the underlying media is served directly from those third-party hosts.

If you believe content linked or embedded on RedditTube infringes your copyright, the most effective remedy is usually to contact the original host (Reddit and its CDNs). However, we will also act on properly submitted notices to remove links from our index.

2. How to Submit a Takedown Notice

To request removal of allegedly infringing content from RedditTube, send a written notice that includes all of the following:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
The exact URL(s) on RedditTube where the allegedly infringing material appears (e.g., https://yoursite.com/post/abc123). Notices that do not identify specific URLs cannot be processed.
Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and a valid email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Notices must be in English or Portuguese. We may translate other languages but cannot guarantee a timely response.

3. Where to Send Takedown Notices

If you have engaged a designated DMCA agent service, replace the contact line above with the agent's official details.

Email is preferred and will receive faster response. We aim to acknowledge complete notices within 5 business days and to act on valid notices within 10 business days.

4. What Happens After You Submit a Notice

If your notice meets the requirements above, we will:

Remove or disable access to the identified URL(s) on RedditTube.
Make a reasonable effort to notify the original Reddit poster, where their identity is reasonably ascertainable from public Reddit data.
Keep a record of the notice for our internal compliance log.

Removing a link on RedditTube does not remove the underlying content from Reddit or any third-party host. To request removal at the source, contact Reddit directly via reddit.com/report or its DMCA process.

5. If a Removal Was in Error

RedditTube does not host user uploads or maintain user accounts, so a formal DMCA counter-notice procedure is not applicable. However, mistakes happen. If you believe a link was removed in error or based on a misidentification, contact us at the email address above with a clear explanation and the URL involved. We will review the matter and, if appropriate, restore the link.

6. Repeat Infringers

RedditTube does not host user accounts or user uploads. However, we maintain a record of takedown notices and may take additional measures, including blocking specific subreddits or users from being indexed, if a pattern of valid infringement claims is identified.

7. Misuse of the Takedown Process

Submitting false or fraudulent takedown notices is unlawful. Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Equivalent provisions exist under EU and Portuguese law.

We reserve the right to publish redacted notices, refuse repeated invalid notices, and report abusive senders to relevant authorities.

8. Jurisdictional Note

RedditTube is operated from European Union with servers located in Canada. As a non-US operator, we are not strictly required to participate in the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") safe harbor. We voluntarily follow a DMCA-style notice-and-takedown procedure as a matter of good practice and respect for copyright holders globally.

For users and rights-holders in the European Union, this policy also implements our obligations as a hosting service under Directive 2000/31/EC (E-Commerce Directive) and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act), as applicable.

For Canadian rights-holders, we will also accept and forward Notice-and-Notice requests under the Canadian Copyright Act, sections 41.25–41.27.

9. Trademarks and Other IP

The takedown process described above is for copyright claims. For trademark claims, defamation, privacy violations, or other concerns about specific content, please contact us via the Contact page with a clear explanation and the URL(s) involved.
